Humble thoughts

Hello all!
Its been quite some time, ne?

I have been thinking lately and even though I havent really been active in cosplay due to not having a job and money issues, I am considering posting cosplay entries on here.

I guess I would include how-to's as well as daily ramblings about my cosplay ideas and such. Some times I might even include a video here and there.
I feel that posting such things on deviantArt for example is a little bothersome since that is not exactly a blog site.

So I guess this is just the beginning. I am considering putting up some pictures of me making Finn the human's back pack. Its some-what easy and fun as long as you dont have any real problems with the sewing machine like I did OTL (Grace+Machines=bad!)

Until then...
Please look forward to more!

"You just need to relax"

I finally made it home!

No more travels planned for the summer (yet) and I am eager to get things back on their regular routine. In fact id say I am a little impatient about it, so much that its putting me in an aggitated state of mind, haha.

Luckily I have a friend kind enough to tell me to just relax and take things one at a time instead of all at once.
She's right and I probably should stop thinking about it too. Its starting to give me a headache thinking about all the things I have to do.

So right now I will just use this time to prepare myself for next week and unpacking.
It feels so nice being back in my own room now though. I did miss everything here even when I was enjoying my time in New Jersey.

I look forward to posting more about the things to come !
Hopefully I wont get too busy where I forget to keep updating on here, haha. (:

Until then...

Traveling again

Lately we have been getting hit with a lot of severe weather. I am just hoping that I will be able to escape from the hot weather atleast when I travel up north this week.

Its been a week since I got back and things seem to be going along smoothly.
Though, I would have to admit, traveling again not too long after Japan is a bit rough.

My mom just got home and I just got to hang out with my friends again, I am going to miss everyone.
But thankfully its still within the states that I am visiting this time. I look forward to taking lots of pictures and hopefully I can have some fun adventures to post about!

Until then...

Home at last

Immigration and customs was a NIGHTMARE!

Other than that, id say my trip was pretty smooth. Getting on my flight in tokyo was a breeze, but when I got in Atlanta, it became a little more challenging. I am guessing this is for international flights, since I have never had to do this, but I went through two baggage checks/claims.

After all that, I made my way to the end and when I saw my brother I will tell you I felt totally relieve. I knew the traveling was over for the most part!
Sadly I didnt get much sleep on the plane so I slept in the car, which is no suprise, I always sleep better in cars. haha.

Now all I have to do is unpack! I will also be working on a video of my overall trip with some video messages included and all my pictures (:

Please look forward to those!
I unpack only ending up having to pack again not too long after!
Oh~ what overwhelming joy! /sarcasm

This is sayonara, Japan.

I would have to say that today is the only day, out of the two weeks I have been here, that I didnt really do much all day. But i guess in a way, it was necessary. I did pack all my things and its crazy all the stuff that i am bringing back.

We tried going out to the Aeon mall to find something I was looking for but it was unsuccessful, no big deal though. I might possibly come back next year anyways, haha.

I just hope that when I get back to America and after my NJ trip that I will be able to find a job, I really need one.

Anyways, after the mall we headed back to home base and thats when I did most of my packing. After a power nap we then went out to a convienant store so I could buy a few small things. Then we headed out for my final meal in Japan! Ramen! haha.

Mrs. Hiromi asked why I wanted to eat it and I had to explain that in america its expensive and rare to find REAL ramen, haha.

I am a little nervous about the airport tomorrow. I know the basic layout of it all but I wasnt in the same area as the gates are for when boarding a plane so I am not very familiar with that. I guess in the worst case I could ask, but if you know me, I dont like asking for directions most of the time. haha.

I look forward to seeing everyone and cannot wait for NJ, its going to all be some more fun!

Please look forward to more posts! Thanks to all who have been keeping up!

With a few days left...

I am still enjoying myself. Today was pretty much like yesterday with a few more adventures tossed in there, which was nice (: It rained again all day though and by the end of it, it was humid; yuck! D:<>

So today, which I didnt know until 8am, we had a tea ceremony class again but this time it was on monday. haha. So after that, which was rather difficult... how do japanese sit on their legs for so long?! I couldnt feel mine for a long time, haha.

After the class and cleaning up and everything, we then went out for lunch! Thats a good thing though because I was just about to die! haha.
Suprisingly to me, we went to go eat ramen!!! ((:

After that we dropped off sensei and went out to a recycling shop (pretty much like goodwill or a thrift store just a lot more better of a selection to choose from!) then dropped off another person that was with us (:
We then went to another shop, again we were looking for something but I bought some totally opposite things (but of course they were cheap!) then got a little drink to keep me going!

Then heading to a final shop, we bought groceries and headed back home!

Tonight for dinner was Udon but I didnt get any pictures... haha. Then Mrs. Hiromi taught me how to put a yukata on. Tomorrow night or sometime she said she will teach me caligraphy. Thats gonna be cool (: Lots of packing to do tomorrow though and I hope everything isnt going to make my suitcase too heavy XD

Until then!

When it rains...it rains.

And today there was a lot of it. I`d say more than there was last time.
Today started off a little later since its the weekend, but we did head out by 10am. We continued on our mission since it was unsuccessful yesterday. The first store we went in today we had success! ((:

Afterwards we went in a few more stores to buy some food and what not and headed into Tsukuba. After about 2 hours of chilling we then went out to the train station to drop off Mami. By then we headed to another 100yen store to find some socks I have been looking for (its really hard to find them in black! lol) but didnt find them. I saw a lot of other things though! haha.

It seems there are a lot of hello kitty things and because its so rare to me because its expensive in America, seeing it on disposable chopsticks or plastic bags is something I cant get used to. lol.

Tomorrow we go out to search for some final things before I head back to the States. It will be a sad but sweet ending, mainly because I love it here but I know I will come back.
This past week and now almost two weeks has seemed like a whole month so in a way I am glad it was only two weeks that I stay. I miss my friends and family and although I know I will get tired of telling everyone the same story, I will be glad just in the fact that I was able to come here.

Melon pan,Disney,Tokyo, and more...

(5/20)

Not a whole lot happened on this day. Started off by going to an english class with Mrs. Hiromi, which was pretty much like being in school again. haha.
I also noticed that a lot of people have been asking me about my hair thinking it a perm and are a little suprised when I say its natural. lol. I also noticed a lot of Japanese here have been thinking I am canadian and I have noooo idea why lol.

So after a lunch and a little shopping here and there we met up with Mami in Tsukuba and relaxed a bit.
After a filling dinner we then got ready for the next day and went to bed early so we could also wake up early in the morning.

(5/21)

Woke up early so we could make it on the train to Tokyo. After spliting with Mami so she could go to school, we then arrived in akihibara. We were on a mission to find a kuroshitsuji (anime) figure. Unfortunetly we had 30 min until the shop opened so we went ahead on to Tokyo city to a building we could view all of Tokyo. It was sooo cool and I was able to enjoy a little snack with such an awesome view. Then heading back to Akihibara we finally went on to finish our mission! and suprisingly it ended successfully in one swoop!
By then I was just about starving so we met up with Mami to eat lunch and head to disney!!
It was pretty spectacular but it was my first time going to disney either way, haha.

Actually I went to Disney Sea but I dont see much of a difference. Went on the tower of terror which was really fun ( i love the feeling of being weightless) and then went on the indiana jones ride. The graphics were WAY better than I expected them to be!

Taking a break `under the sea` lol we got drinks then bought a souveneir ;)

After that we were pretty much dead so we started heading back. The train ride was killer because it was crowded and I had to stand for a while after walking so much. Lets just say the next day I was sore.

(5/22)

Today was pretty chill. I thought I was going back to Tokyo but we didnt end up going again, I didnt want to mention it either because after all I am not the one having to go to a place I have already been to oh-so-many times. Instead we dropped of Mami at the train station and were on our way on another mission... to find a kigurumi suit... haha. Its pretty difficult too and I wont give away any details because it will be a suprise for all you to see ;P
Although we were able to go to some pretty awesome malls, we were unsuccessful so bought a snack and headed back to homebase for lunch.
After lunch and more relaxation we went out to search a few more malls in Tsukuba. We are thinking we might be lucky in Mito city. I hope so. haha.

I know for sure I want to eat ramen again and try crepes before I leave. Its supposed to be like 19c so like 60`s?? UGH; not cool. haha. Today was so nice though... Its supposed to rain again sometime probably tomorrow or the next day.

Until then~

Tea ceremony and Sewing class

Again today we started off going right out the door after breakfast, lol.

It wasnt too bad though. I bought socks first and then went to a tea ceremony class with Hiromi. It was really interesting but I felt bad not knowing all what to do and what not. Thankfully the others in the class were older women and very open and kind to me. A lot of them liked my hair, haha.

Afterwards we went to stop by a market to pick up a snack for the next class, sewing.Again, thankfully, they were all open and willing to help me. The teacher actually knew some english which was really nice, haha. She is very funny but can be serious of course. Her patch works are amazing and so beautiful! (: I felt so inspired !

After a lunch we started working on our projects and I started a small one of my own (;

We then went to go look for some anime figures, but I was unable to find what I was looking for. Hopefully I will be able to find one tomorrow after the english class in Tsukuba.
Not a very eventful day but it was all good (: rained some too which was nice, I love the rain, haha.
Until then~

PS- I requested korean food for dinner (;

Always more to learn...

Well today sure did start off in a rush. I woke up a little later, almost 8am, after breakfast I was told we had to be somewhere soon haha.
First we stopped by a small shop to buy flowers; we went to visit Hiromi-san`s home town and her mom`s house. I have been in so many houses today its insane. We also went to both of her sisters houses. They are all so kind~
I also got to see the `haunted hamick` so to say...it moves on its own... haha

Anyways! After that we went to eat lunch and I got to eat tempura ((: Love tempura but it was sooo filling! The parfait was nice too though ((;

We then went to bayside park which was really nice. The weather today was actually cooler than yesterday but still windy. Especially on a really high hill. haha.
I got to see a sea of nemophila ~

After a good exercise and the purchase of my first vending machine drink, we headed back to the car to then go to the book store again. This time I actually knew what I wanted to buy. I bought Vampire Knight (after finally having found it) and the newest Kuroshitsuji volume which so happens to be when they are at the circus which is one of my favourite parts. I then suggested we go to 100yen store so I could buy a few little things for cheap haha and then we went to another mall. That place was so huge and so much more convienant than anything america can come up with.

FINALLY we made it home! Though I had lots of things to sort out. Tomorrow I need to wash some of my clothes so I will try to do that. There also might be a few suprises along the way too, haha. I look forward to the next big thing ~

Mito City

Today started off with going to the bank, which in itself was a pretty interesting trip. Their banks are really different than american ones or atleast the ones I have been to.

Afterwards we explored some... went into a retail store, then small shop with Japanese knick knacks, and finally an anime store. LOL;; so overwhelming. I am used to the small section in books-a-million but this just about had everything relating to manga and anime. I didnt buy anything because there really wasnt anything I would die without, pluse I need to save the monies for when I go to Tokyo~

So! after that we then went to a dango shop to buy a gift and had a little snack :3 Unfortunetly it was consumed before I could get a picture but we do plan on making some ourselves...and tempura...among others that have slipped my mind haha. We made a sudden visit to a shrine (shrine of inu(dog)) which was really refreashing!

Then we went to some type of discount store, haha.I guess like the american thrift store, but I dont think any of these were used before, and then met up with Hiromi`s younger sister. After going to a judicial office about certain matters we then went to pick up yuki, Hiromi`s nephew.
We then headed back to where we left the car and had some ice cream in mc donalds.

Finally we set out to head back home, but stopped at another book store and got groceries.
Had fish with tofu and salad for dinner. The rice was sweet this time and I really liked it haha.

Tomorrow I am not sure what we are doing.
Everything is being dished out at random but thats ok, still enjoying it! haha.

Lets go back....

This is a little late but I was so tired from walking so much yesterday I wasnt able to get to it when I got home.
But id have to say, sunday started off pretty well! Mami stayed over but since it was sunday, she slept in. haha. Jet lag didnt really bother me at all but because early morning is early afternoon there I have been waking up around 7am, not saying thats bad though. Its actually a good thing especially if I plan on living here.

After returning to Tsukuba and picking up Mami`s dad, we set out to a geographical science museum...thing xD It was pretty interesting.

Afterwards we set out to a Edo village. It was very interesting. I love the architecture of everything...so beautiful

To make things short (even though this was all over a rather long span of time) we then headed back and went to just about the biggest mall I have ever been to! It was like 4-5 floors or something... haha! After a small snack and browsing, we then headed back to the apartment Mami and her dad stay in and walked to a ramen shop. Where we ate ramen! I am telling you, you really have to be hungry to eat all that. haha! Of course I took a picture of it all for my brother. It was soooo good!

Then we headed home! I was so tired from it all, my feet were starting to hurt. haha I havent been able to wear open toes shoes because its been pretty cold.
Anyways! today I will be going to the bank and shopping... not sure what else might come up! Everything is spontanious since its all so close, haha.

Until next time

Tsukuba

Today deffinently started early. I woke up before the sun was up but eventually went to sleep and didnt get up until 6:45am, Hiromi was suprised and asked if I was ok, haha, of course I was. I did go to bed at 9pm after all.

We first started off by eating of course and getting cleaned up but then also went up to climb the mountain close by, there Tim are you happy? Unfortunetly it was the mountain of a fire tenjou so no dragons. Went up to the shrine and everythig, it was beautiful and huge.

After that we ended up heading to tsukuba which is closer tokyo and is also where Mami and her dad have an apartment. After lunch, we went shopping and to a festival. Lots of food at the festival! I have been eating by the hour ever since I got here! lol

After that, Mami had gotten in and so we met her at the apartment and chilled. After dinner we then went out to shop again, this time at an actual mall. They had some stores that reminded me of Gap and such, but i saw a lot of cute things !

After shopping we then headed back home so now here I am! (;

I have a lot planned on my schedule so I will let you know all day by day ;P

So beautiful

My flight was a little painful with it being so long but in all it was total smooth sailing.
My plane was a little late leaving but was actually early arriving in Narita. At first I wasnt sure where I was going to be picked up but I went through cutsoms pretty quickly and finally ended up in the lobby.
First thing I learned, Japanese toilets are really hard to flush. I had nooooo idea how to haha. I eventually figured it out and have been able to notice kanji. The automatic doors were awesome too! haha (:

So it was almost 2 hours from Narita to Ibaraki but I totally enjoyed the scenery. I have yet to get in a major city but I think any part is beautiful and enjoyable.
We ate at a 90yen sushi restaurant. The tuna and shrimp was sooo fresh it was suprising! I will have to get used to the wasabi though, haha.

The ishikawa household is beautiful. The outside has almost a modern western feel to it but the inside layout is just like a regular Japanese home. The surrounding area is mostly mountain side and I look forward to taking pictures. The weather is deffinently on the cool side but it is so much more enjoyable that the hot humid weather back home.

Today Mami is visiting and I am sure the next few days I will be figuring out what I am going to do. I will hopefully upload pictures next time so look forward to that!
Hiromi plans on taking me to a lot of places so I look forward to that!
